The KAWG supports the efforts of Kansas State University in soliciting
funds from the state, federal, and private sectors to build new
facilities that would the classrooms, offices, labortories and feed
mill for the Department of Grain Science and Industry. (November, 2005)
The KAWG would further challenge other organizations, both national and state, to support this effort because it is unique in the United States. There is no other U.S. university with a department whose sole purpose is to support our nation's grain and oilseed processing industries. (November, 2005)
The KAWG supports research and education to study the components in wheat that will have marketable benefits for nutrition, energy or shelter. (November, 2006)
The KAWG supports the sequencing of the wheat genome and the continued efforts of the International Wheat Genome Sequencing Consortium (IWGSC). (November, 2005)
